Hackney RFC will host the 2018 edition on Saturday 12th May alongside the Junior section's End of Season celebrations

Hosted to conside with the anniversary of Hackney at Twickenham. In 2009 Hackney won the Club together competition for what they'd achieved on and off the field in the previous years. The prize was to play at Twickenham as the curtain raiser before the Premiership final, in our side that day was Matt Elliot and that was the last time he would play with us after his unfortunate death that summer. The cup was born as celebration and rememberence of Matt's life and we've raised lots of money for charity in the process.

This year's event promises to be extra special as we are combining the Junior Club fun day for kids/ younger rugby players with a Ladies 7s tournament for the cup. Alongside this the Men will be playing in a testomonial match for Simon Ferguson who is leaving the club after 26 years, so a Simon Ferguson XV will be taking on a club XV. All playing levels and guests accommodated. BBQ, bar and fun in the sunshine as Hackney RFC commemorates Matt's memory and celebrates the unique spirit of our special Club.
