Hackney RFC are pleased to announce that Milton Stephens will join the club as backs coach having recently returned to the UK from Cyprus. His playing career saw him pulling on the shirts of Ealing, Harlequins, Wasps, Hammersmith and Fulham and the Bahrain international team. He has a wealth of coaching experience from his time in Cyprus with Limassol Crusaders and the Cypriot Rugby Union.

Milton's philosophy on rugby is that its NOT a game of contact, but a game of CONTACT AVOIDANCE.  The player must use their brain, as well as their speed, strength and skill, in order to work out the best way of getting past an opponent, as opposed to trying to just plough straight through them.

Milton will be working with the whole club with responsibility for back play generally and will work with the Griffins on matchday in conjunction with Ben Scanlan as they push for promotion to the London leagues. Milton can be contacted on milton@hackneyrfc.co.uk
