About Us

In September 2010, four friends decided to set up a ladies team at Hackney. Since then, we have grown both in strength and numbers to form a full side squad, playing in the London West 3 league and the RFUW cup this year.

We've got a wide range of experience; from complete beginners to university stars with a number of coaches on hand developing our skills at all levels, and of course, our fitness! We also train occasionally with top coaches from the RFU. It's a club wide ethos that anybody and everybody is welcome, and this is certainly the case with the Hackney Gladies.

We train every Thursday from 7.30-9.30 at the Hackney Rugby Club grounds. You’re more than welcome to just come and have a try. And if you can persuade your friends to come, the more the merrier! We have a thriving social life, and can be regularly found in the pub on a Saturday night.
